Info On CEP School Lunch

School Lunch

Dear Parent/Guardian:

A CEP School is a school in which meals were provided at no cost to all students WITHOUT APPLYING FOR BENEFITS.

If your child attended Carter’s Valley Elementary, McPheeter’s Bend Elementary, or any other CEP school, last school year, where meals were provided at no cost to the student without applying for benefits, there will be a change to that process this year, as Church Hill Intermediate School does not participate in the CEP program.

Students who attended a CEP school will be allowed to use the CEP (free meal) status for the first 30 school days of the 2020-21 school year at Church Hill Intermediate School. A current year Free and Reduced Family Application for Meal Benefits must be submitted by 9/16/20 to determine eligibility for the 2020-21 school year, or the following prices will be charged beginning 9/17/20 and will remain in effect until a current application is received, processed and approval/denial is determined:
• Breakfast = $1.50
• Lunch = $2.25 for grades PK-8

Any meal charges incurred as a result of failure to apply for free or reduced meal benefits by 9/16/20 will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian to pay.

Should you have any questions regarding this process, please contact the Child Nutrition Office at 423-272-2128 or e-mail

Best regards,

Mandy Kenner
Child Nutrition Supervisor
