Ms. Thea Puckett
Hello, my name is Thea Puckett and I teach math in Grade 6 here at Church Hill Intermediate. This is my 26th year teaching, and my 13th year at CHIS. I graduated from Emory and Henry College with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary English, East Tennesse State University with a M.A. in the Teaching of Reading, and Carson Newman University with an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently perusing my Ed.D at Carson Newman University in Educational Leadership. I have taught almost every grade from Kindergarten to 8th grade, but 5th and 6th are my favorite level. I have three children, Trenton, Kassie, and Lexie. Trenton is married and works for a local orthopedic clinic. Kassie is attending Grand Canyon University to become an elementary teacher. Lexie is a Junior at Daniel Boone High School. We live on a few acres of land in Gray with our twelve dogs and five cats. In my free time I enjoy reading and traveling. I am passionate about escape rooms and have completed over thirty.
I am excited to be a teacher in Hawkins County and look forward to working with you and your child.
