Welcome to Church Hill Intermediate School! As the principal at CHIS,  I am so glad you are visiting our website!   

In my personal life I have worked as a lifeguard, in a shoe store, in a glass factory, and spent many long hours in the tobacco patch or working on the farm.  I have lived most of my life on our family farm in Carters Valley where my husband Bob and I still live and carry down many traditions of farming, fishing and enjoying the outdoors for our children and grandchildren. I also enjoy sitting by a fire or playing board games with friends.

I have been an administrator at CHIS since our opening in 2010.  Before that, I taught 17 years at Church Hill Elementary School in 4th and 5th grades.  I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from ETSU, a Master of Arts in Education from Tusculum University, and a Educational Specialist degree in Supervision and Administration from Lincoln Memorial University.  

I absolutely love my job and feel very blessed for the opportunity  to serve the families in our community. Each day I strive to make our school a safe and pleasant place for children to learn.  I want them to have opportunities to grow and feel confident about any career path they may choose.
